- Lot Description
The rectangular pink marble top over an elaborately carved and gilded base, the frieze centered by a foliate form on a lattice and punchwork ground, with carved strapwork centering cartouches, on exaggerated cabriole legs all entwined with carved foliate forms, with a large x-form Êscrolled stretcher carved with fruits, centering a winged gargoyle mask, on whorl feet, each carved with a fantasical maskÊ
37 in. h. x 63 in. w. x 32 in. d.Condition
Various losses to gilding throughout. Front wood pads under feet have been repaired and left ungilded. Not finished on the back, therfore not a center table. The marble is a modern addition.
