These two teapots came out of the same mold. The biggest difference is that one is marked and one is unmarked. The finials are a little different and both original. This form is called a transitional teapot as it became the start of the taller 19th century pots. The paint on the handle is gone on the unmarked example. The beading on the lid with incised lines add to their attractiveness. This is a rare and early form. The Boardman mark is found on the outside bottom and the pot is in fine condition. Both are in the 8 ½” range in height. The marked one is $1495 while the unmarked one is $450, plus shipping.
