- Lot Description
A very nice set of a Kriegsmarine officer's frock coat and fore and aft hat, from the 3rd Reich period, including an exceptionally finely made Commander's frock coat, complete with both epaulets (one is detached), one with the insignia of the engineering division, and the full dress fore-and-aft hat, with broad band of lace, national cockade, and a 3rd Reich gilt naval button.
Processing and shipping within the continental U.S. $ 62.00 plus 1.5% replacement and insurance. Please note we do not accept credit cards.
The frock coat is in very good condition. The stitching at the shoulders has become loose due to improper storage, but there is no damage to the material. The epaulets are excellent, but one is missing its symbol of division. The stitching on the hat has become loose and should be reinforced, however, the surface is excellent. Witherells strives to provide as much information and photographs as possible but encourages in-person inspection by bidders.
