Lot Description

Wooden propeller hub and photo from crashed U.S. Army Curtis "Jenny", circa 1920, from old Kelly Field, Texas. 2 foot section of original wooden propeller, with manufacturer;s plate, metal hub plate and bolts, and a photo of Jenny's at Kelly Field, with chains for hanging. This is both when and where Lindbergh had his worst ever crash. Dimensions: 9"h x 24"w. Processing and shipping within the continental U.S. $48.00 plus 1.5% replacement cost insurance. Please note we do not accept credit cards.

Condition

Very good condition. The propeller is from a crashed plane. One end has broken edges that have been neatly finished. The other is cut at an angle. Witherell's strives to provide as much information and photographs as possible but encourages in-person inspection by bidders.
