Inscribed center medallion, "Awarded By / THE / State Agricultural Society / TO / Carr & Chapman / For the Best Herd of Cattle / Gov. Booth and Herd / Sept. 1874." Featuring an upswept C-curve handle and decorative banding. Marked on underside, "V & Co hallmark / W.K. Vanderslice & Co / 136 / Sutter St. / S.F. Cal." Dimensions: 12"h. Total gross weight: 34.52 ozt. Provenance: Edwin Iloff SIlver Collection, Sacramento, Ca.; likely Butterfield & Butterfield, 11/10/87, sale 3841G, lot 130. Processing and shipping within the continental U.S. $55.00 plus 1.5% replacement cost insurance. Please note we do not accept credit cards.
