- Lot Description
A very scarce 1942 dated US Navy Anti-aircraft hand held range finder in bakelite, with various Axis planes listed, including German, Italian, and Japanese, around the center to show their wingspread in an oncoming sight, as issued to gun crews particularly of mid-sized guns and to crews of armed merchant vessels, excellent condition.
A frame of Military Sealift Command insignia from World War II, including shoulder boards in 5 different ranks, and specialties, all excellent, a Military Sealift Command Officer's peaked cap badge, 3 piece construction including enameled MSTS flag, excellent and very well made;a hand made MSTS Petty Officer's cap badge and wool band for peaked cap, excellent; 3 unused MSTS badges for service dress, excellent; 4 large and 3 small MSTS Officer's buttons, excellent; 4 bullion embroidered anchor rank insignia on blue wool, excellent.
A US Navy World War II grouping of insignia, a sterling Identification bracelet, and medals to Petty Officer Robert Willard Pierce, US Navy Reserve, including 1945 dated Good Conduct medal, dog tag, ribbon bar showing Pacific service, and his rating badges, all VG+ to excellent.
