- Lot Description
Frame 1: a small frame of original World War I Army Air Corps officer's insignia, including a very nice peaked cap badge, rank bars for a Captain, a pair of bronze winged propeller collars, and a pair of US collar, all excellent;
Frame 2: a very interesting grouping of US Army Air Corps insignia, including a pair of officer's USR collars. and a pair of Army Signal Corps officer's collars, all VG+; a very interesting bullion and metal wing with embroidered wins, and a gilt metal officer's button in the center, with a metal star above, excellent, essentially a Senior Air Crew wing; a bullion embroidered World War II era Air Crew wing, VG; a single World War II era enlisted Air Corps collar disc, with a matching US, VG; a very scarce World War I era enlisted collar with a 4-bladed propeller, VG+; and a British brass penny from 1918.
Processing and shipping within the continental U.S. $ 62.00 plus 1.5% replacement and insurance.
Frame 3: a group of modern but extremely well made World War I style US Army Air Corps wings and Aviation patches and insignia, used as examples for verification of original materials, including 25 pair of wings, and 2 very nicely made Air Corps patches This includes 10 metal wings, all modern made, excellent copies of WWI and later wings, used only for comparison, all excellent.
