- Lot Description
A bullion embroidered US Army Air Corps Pilot's wing, apparently World War I, tarnished black, in very good shape, with some wear to edges of backing cloth, oilcloth backing; an interesting Navigator's wing in bullion embroidery, large central globe between silver wings, tarnished, but very good plus; a Command Pilot's wing in sterling, clutch back, very finely and heavily made, tarnished but excellent; a Pilot's wing in sterling, pin back, by Meyer, pin opens to 90 degrees, excellent; a World War I bullion embroidered officer's Army Air Corps collar on khaki, excellent; a pair of World War I Army Air Corps officer's collars 1 1/4 inches across, excellent; a similar style single collar 1 1/2 inches across, excellent; 24 other various insignia, some in cloth, many in sterling, excellent;11 various medals, including a French Verdun medal on its ribbon, 3 US World War II medals, some American Legion medals, buttons, and tokens, a damaged UN medal, and a very interesting Oakland Tribune medal from 1913.
