A remarkable collection showing the evolution of US Army Air Corps insignia, especially in World War I: Officer's collar badges of the Aviation Branch of the Army Signal Corps, crossed bronze signal flags with silver winged globes attached, excellent; 3 different enlisted Aviation Branch of the Signal Corps collar discs: one with added propeller, another with added silver globe and propeller, and a third all cast bronze, all excellent; 6 different World War I Army Air Corps collar discs, including wings with added silver propeller in two different shades of bronze, and 4 different all cast bronze, all excellent; 4 other related collar discs. excellent; 10 World War I Army Air Corps officer's' collars, 4 pair and two individual, three pair in very early gilt and silver, excellent; 3 Officer's dark bronze USR collars, excellent; a dark bronze World War I US Army officer's peaked cap eagle badge, excellent; a dark bronze enlisted peaked cap badge, excellent; 8 different US World War I "welcome home" medals and watch fobs, excellent; a fabulous miniature medal group, probably Belgian, including the British Military Cross, the Belgian Order of Leopold, and 4 others, excellent; 10 US Army Air Corps World War I cloth uniform patches, excellent; a French 1914-1917 Croix de Guerre, no ribbon, but excellent; a German World War I 20 mark bank note, very good; 4 other US Army insignia, very good.
