A grouping of US Army Air Corps badges, wings, and insignia, many in sterling, some British made, mostly World War II and earlier, along with a few USAF insignia:
8 Aviation Mechanic Qualification badges, 4 in sterling, several in-country made, probably British based on the pin style: Badge with 5 bars, unmarked British made, pin back, bars: "Radio, Gunner, Armorer, Electrical, Hydraulic,"; Another Badge, British made, with 5 bars, "Radio Operator, Radio V-1 Mech, Radio V-1 OBS; Teletype Mech, TRET, and Sight SP,"; another, pin back, slightly larger badge with circles of stars on the reverse, with 5 bars: "Instrument, Mechanic, Machinist, Metalworker, Power Plant,"; another Badge, sterling, pin missing, 2 bars, "Radio Operator, Radio Mechanic,"; another Badge marked Sterling, with 5 over-sized bars, "Aerial Gunner, Photography, Radio Operator, Radio Mechanic, A.P. Armorer,";another Badge, sterling, 1 bar, "A.P. Mechanic,"; another Badge, sterling with 1 bar, "WX Observer,"; another Badge, sterling, , bar unattached but present: Aerial Gunner,", all excellent; Marksmanship badge, clutch back, with bars: "Crew Chief, 1 2-bladed propeller, and bar, AA Artillery,"; a hat sized Pilot's wing (1 7/16ths inches) with letters S.B.A.D. around shield, and star on shield, pin back, sterling; Aviation Cadet badge, a large winged 2-bladed propeller, spin back; 5 small officer's clutch back collar insignia including one marked, Melbourne, Australia, one with snowflake pattern to revere, 2 blackened, marked L.I.G.I., one collar marked sterling Prop. clutch back; another pair of larger officer's aviation collars with gilded wings but silver propeller, sterling pin back,; another pair of larger, sterling officer's collars with no pins;another pair of sterling officer's collar, sterling, pin back;2 pairs of USAF officer's collars, clutch back; 2 pairs of officer's "US collars, one larger, pin back, the other smaller and clutch back; 2 small collar sized badges with Army Officer's eagles on them in silver color, marked 12C, in pin back; 7 World War II or earlier enlisted Aviation collars, 6 clutch back, one spin back; 6 embroidered gold wire on khaki officer's "US" collars;4 gold wire embroidered Army Air Corps officer's winged propeller badges on khaki; 3 pair of uncut white thread ob khaki embroidered winged propeller badges; a large and heavy Meyer sterling USAF Combat Air Crew badge, clutch back, one clutch broken off but present;an early pair of Army Air Corps Pilot's wings, wire embroidered on black cloth, certainly pre-World War II, possibly 1920's; and a small hand full of other miscellaneous metal and embroidered USAF insignia.

Very good to excellent. The embroidered wing is tarnished black. Most of the clutch back badges have had their clutches removed for display. Replacement clutches can be provided, free of charge, on request. Witherells strives to provide as much information and photographs as possible but encourages in-person inspection by bidders.
