Framed President Ulysses Grant (1822-1885) signed document, August 1, 1876, authorizing the Secretary of State to affix the Seal of the United States to a "Warrant for the pardon of Richard Thorn alias Sampson.....U.S. Grant / Washington, 1st August, 1876." Dimensions: (letter sight) 9.5"h x 7.12"w; (overall) 16.25"h x 20.25"w. Grant was the eighteenth President of the United States, 1869-1877. Provenance: Purchased from Rendell Gallery New York for undisclosed amount. Processing and shipping within the continental U.S. $45.00 plus 1.5% replacement cost insurance. Please note we do not accept credit cards.
Very good with two horizontal creases due to folding. Did not examine out of frame.
