U.S. World War I Medal Group, with original discharge to Westbrook.
A five-bar U.S. W.W.I Victory Medal, with bars: Champagne-Marne, Aisne-Marne, St. Mihiel, Meuse-Argonne, Defensive Sector; and a W.W. I Occupation Medal; along with ribbon bars for both (the Victory ribbon having five bronze stars); and Westbrook's original Discharge from the Army, confirming his awards.
Harrold W. Westbrook was born in Illinois, and became a Corporal in Battery "F". 149th Field Artillery. He died in Grass Valley, California in 1977.
Both medals are excellent. The Occupation Medal is a later issue, being on a slot brooch, where-as the Victory Medal is on its wrap brooch. The discharge has stains from old tape, and is creased from folding, with a minor separation on the top fold. Discharge measures: 8 1/2" W x 11 1/2" L
