Lot comprising 1) U.S. Model 1902 Army Saber & 2) 1897 French Gras Rifle Bayonet. Army saber has metal sheath. "U.S." is etched into saber's blade. Saber marked "The M.C. Lilley & Co. Columbus, O." on blade underneath handle. Black knotted leather wraps around the guard of the saber. French gras rifle bayonet has no sheath. Provenance: According to family history, U.S. Model 1902 Army Saber was used by J.T. Alexander (1929-1931). Dimensions: 37.37"l (saber without sheath); 25.25"l (bayonet).
