Two souvenir novagem jewels from the Tower of Jewels in the 1915 Panama Pacific International Exposition in San Francisco along with a sterling souvenir spoon. The 435 ft Tower of Jewels was positioned at the entrance to the Fair and liberally decorated with 102,000 novagem jewels (faceted cut glass). They were made in Bohemia and attached with brass hangers. They shimmered under the sunlight and were lit with spotlights at night. After the Fair concluded, new jewels were sold as souvenirs. The two jewels offered in this lot are canary (with the PPIE emblem verso and clear (no emblem). Dimensions: Jewel - 1.87" diameter; spoon - 4.12"l. Processing and shipping within the continental U.S. $25.00 plus 1.5% replacement cost insurance. Please note we do not accept credit cards.
