The Heart of the Sky God Kachina, "Sotuk'nung" by Elgean Joshevama. Dimensions (overall): 13"h. Provenance: Purchased on Ebay from Rich Hacker, Flagstaff, AZ. $425. 06/14/15.Ì_
Hand carved and hand painted on a single piece of cottonwood root. Artist signature and title on underside of base. Joshevama is an award winning, yet relatively young, Kachina carver who had developed a distinct style. He uses oil based paints and pays close attention to detail giving his work a very specific, identifiable look.Ì_
