- Lot Description
Frame 1: 11 pair of South Korean wings, styled on USAF wings, all excellent including Command, Senior, and some interesting variations; 6 pair of cloth South Korean wings, including 2 Navy wings, VG+; 41 pair of Yhai Air Force wings, , including 4 in white metal that are particularly beautiful, one surmounted with a Thai headdress that is taller than the wing's length, beautifully made, along with 10 cloth wings, all but three of which are bullion embroidered, one of which shows a lot of wear, the others all being very good to excellent.
Frame 2: Taiwan Air Force wings, 72 shirt-sized (2 inch) wings, in silver color or gilt and enamel, all excellent, including many obsolete variations, all excellent; 8 cloth wings, all with the Nationalist Chinese sun symbol, all excellent.
Frame 3: 69 full-sized Taiwan wings, including virtually every variation of Taiwan's Air Force and Naval wings, including Command and Senior for each variation, along with two small Taiwan Air Force badges, both excellent, both having the Nationalist sun.
Processing and shipping within the continental U.S. $ 76.00 plus 1.5% replacement and insurance. Please note we do not accept credit cards.
As described, mostly excellent except for the very worn pair of wings in frame 1. Note: many of the clutch back wings have had their clutches removed for display. Replacement clutches can be had, free of charge, on request of the purchaser. Witherells strives to provide as much information and photographs as possible but encourages in-person inspection by bidders.
