- Lot Description
US ca. 1800 Saber with rounded pillow pommel and "D" guard. Heavy, curved blade is engraved "Warranted," and has a large US Eagle with a Union shield on its breast with 15 stars. No scabbard.
Processing and shipping within the continental U.S. $ 68.00 plus 1.5% replacement and insurance. Please note we do not accept credit cards.
Condition
The blade is dark overall, but the engraving is very sharp. The horn grip is rough, but solid. There is an original flaw in the blade just below the ricasso, but it does not affect the blade's integrity at all. The sword is 36 inches long overall. Witherells strives to provide as much information and photographs as possible but encourages in-person inspection by bidders.
