- Lot Description
An amazing collection of British Royal Air Force and Commonwealth Air Forces "sweetheart" wings, and pins, 65 items in total, many of which are sterling, and a number of which are enameled, or set with "brilliants." Most of these are wings, or half-wings, but there is also a very clever pin of an airman hanging from an open parachute, hanging from a fanciful RAF wing, all in finely done open-work silver. Among the more unusual items are 7 Royal South African Air Force sweetheart wings, an Army Glider sweetheart wing, a number of Rhodesian sweetheart wings, and a number of sweetheart half-wings, all beautifully made. All the crowns with one exception are King's crown, so probably pre-date 1952.
Processing and shipping within the continental U.S. $ 48.00 plus 1.5% replacement and insurance. Please note we do not accept credit cards.
