- Lot Description
A rare and completely original Prussian Flight Observers badge, twice marked 800 (silver) on the reverse, brought back by Lieutenant (later Colonel) George W. Hayes, U.S. Army Air Corps. The badge is stamped 800 both on the crown and the pin. It has the enameled Flight Observer's badge on the front, held on by 2 flags. The badge was probably made by Juncker. Dimensions: 2.75 inches tall. Processing and shipping in the continental U.S. $25.00 plus 1.5% replacement cost insurance.
Excellent, with some silver polish residue on reverse. Witherell's strives to provide as much information and and photographs as possible but encourages in-person inspection by bidders.
