- Lot Description
An important Philadelphia Chippendale double-peaked camelback sofa, circa 1770. Has been upholstered in period style. A portion of the show cover was professionally removed revealing an unaltered period configuration (please see photos as well as video on our website). Provenance: Purchased at a Los Angeles Antique store, 1942, thence by family descent. Dimensions: 41"h x 92.5"w x 30"d. Front leg measures 10.5"h.
