Unframed oil on canvas painting depicting a village at river's edge, attributed to J. Alden Weir (1852-1919). Signed indistinctly lower right. Handwritten on stretcher bars verso, "Par Le Sie_e Petit _____". Executed in a Post Impressionist style. Dimensions: 21.25"h x 25"w. Processing and shipping within the continental U.S. $68.00 plus 1.5% replacement cost insurance.
Fair. Appears to be an old canvas affixed over a newer canvas below. (please see photos). Wear and losses at all edges.
