- Lot Description
Framed Martin Justice (1869-1961) illustration for the Saturday Evening Post. Signed lower right. Bears label from Saturday Evening Post verso. Dimensions: (sight) 12.5"h x 11.5"w; (overall) 19.5"h x 16.5"w. Justice was born in Wyoming and was on staff for the Saturday Evening Post in New York City in the early 20th century. He was a member of the Society of Illustrators. Processing and shipping within the continental U.S. $50.00 plus 1.5% replacement cost insurance. Please note we do not accept credit cards.
Several tears in upper half of piece: 1) horizontal tear across entire piece approximately one third down from upper edge, 2) vertical test from upper edge down to horizontal tear (4"), 3) possible tear or crease upper left down to horizontal tear, 4) small (.25") tear or heavy indentation near foot of left figure. Did not examine out of frame. Witherells strives to provide as much information and photographs as possible but encourages in-person inspection by bidders.
