- Lot Description
Frame 1:Norwegian wings and Flight badges, 31 items, including 3 metal wings and 1 metal half-wings in silver and gold colored metal, tarnished but excellent; 3 bullion and metal Norwegian officer's peaked cap badges, all excellent; a pair of facing direction Norwegian collar tabs on charcoal grey wool, bullion embroidered, excellent;22 wings on cloth, 14 bullion embroidered, one being a particularly early wing with a very ornate "O" cipher, the metal wire tarnished, but the colors behind the crown are still bright, VG, the early wing being VG, the others all excellent.
Frame 2: Various countries' wings and Aviation insignia, including 4 Soviet Pilot's badges, possibly as used in East Germany as one is East German made, each with very nice enamel, 3 having suspended shields stamped with numbers for years served, including 9, 10, 25, and 30, all VG+; a Yugoslavian Pilot's badge of the Soviet era, made in Zagreb, silver and enamel, spin-back, VG+; 3 unidentified bullion embroidered wings, each with an enameled red circle at the center, with white triangles at the center of the circle, in grey, silver, and gold wire respectively, excellent; 2 Spanish Crosses of Aeronautical Merit, one with a crown, the other a coronet, both excellent, and an unidentified Spanish enameled decoration with a 3-bladed propeller at the center, VG+, and an unidentified bullion embroidered cap badge, excellent.
