- Lot Description
Hand decorated framed mixed media on paper by Roy De Forest (1930-2007) depicting a canoe with a man and dog and a central red sun figure. Signed and dated upper right, "Roy De Forest / 1984." Dimensions: (sheet) 22"h x 30"w; (overall) 25.5"h x 33.5"w. De Forest was born in Nebraska but was raised in Washington. He went to college and art school in San Francisco and taught at UC Davis along with Robert Arneson, William Wiley, Wayne Thiebaud and David Gilhooly. His artistic style is his pwn unique blend of quirkiness, color, texture and storytelling. Processing and shipping within the continental U.S. $105.00 plus 1.5% replacement cost insurance.
