- Lot Description
Framed coastal scene oil on canvas painting by Marie Rey Sander (1857-1945). Possibly depicting San Francisco Bay looking towards Marin County. Signed and dated lower right, "M. Rey / 1878". Gallery stamped on canvas verso however is obscured by paper affixed verso. Dimensions: (canvas) 16"h x 43.75"w; (overall) 29.5"h x 57.25"w. Rey (maiden name) was born in San Francisco and was a pupil of William Keith. For shipping quote, please contact Box Brothers Sacramento at boxbrosacto@gmail.com. Large (12.5"l) cut and separation in canvas center. Canvas is somewhat dirty and frame shows some wear and small losses. Painting is separated from frame.
