- Lot Description
An especially large manuscript page on vellum, circa 900 a.d. A very interesting document written in a script developed during the reign of Charlemagne dealing with the captures and deaths of two Christian martyrs, Cosmas and Damian, who were medicinal healers. Dimensions: 16.25" x 11.87". Processing and shipping within the continental U.S. $32.00 plus 1.5% replacement cost insurance.
This very large vellum page is slightly uneven on the right side and somewhat browned, but really in very good condition for its age. The bottom right corner is missing, and it has been folded. The text is clear and bold on both sides. Witherell's strives to provide as much information and photographs as possible but encourages in-person inspection by bidders.
