- Lot Description
Samurai Sword Katana, Pre-WWII. A very interesting Katana, with ear-shaped hammer, in military mounts, with older iron tsuba. The habaki is split, so the mounts do not fit well. It is numei, that is unsigned, but the mekugi hole is uneven, hand drilled. There are two minor chips in the edge, but the blade is fairly clean. Dimensions: 38.5 inches overall. Blade to tang is 27 inches. Processing and shipping within the continental U.S. $55.00 plus 1.5% replacement cost insurance.
Very good, in military leather covered scabbard, but older grip and tsuba. Two minor edge chips on blade. Witherell's strives to provide as much information and photographs as possible but encourages in-person inspection by bidders.
