- Lot Description
Japanese samurai sword with superb older mounts, of Ko-Katana length. An older katana in ox-blood colored mounts with sago cord. The blade is in beautiful polish, but the point is broken off and missing. This appears to be very early. Extensive marking on tang on both sides, in both kanji and katakana scripts. Dimensions: 35.25 inches long overall. The blade is 23.5 inches long. Processing and shipping within the continental U.S. $55.00 plus 1.5% replacement cost insurance.
Excellent, except for broken point. The sheath has some flaking of the lacquer on the upper part of the sheath. The end cap on the hilt is missing.
