- Lot Description
41 wings and badges, including 26 Japanese wings and 2 badges, among which are 5 very nice World War II examples, including a Japanese Navy Enlisted Pilot's wing in gold printing on white cloth (soiled but VG+), 2 Army wings in cloth, one smaller standard size (showing wear), the other larger, and 2 others; 21 Japanese Self Defense Force wings, including Command Pilot, Flight Engineer, Naval Forces, Army Liaison, all in superb condition, most with beautiful enamel work.
Additionally there are 15 Philippines wings and Flight badges, 6 of which are the newer pattern with an eagle with outspread wings and talons, the rest of which are the obsolete older style wings, patterned on USAF wings, along with a Philippines Air Force officer's peaked cap badge, all excellent.
Processing and shipping within the continental U.S. $ 48.00 plus 1.5% replacement and insurance. Please note we do not accept credit cards.
As described. The Japanese World War II wings show some wear, and the Navy wing is lightly soiled. Many of the modern wings have clutch backs, and the clutches of many have been removed for display. Replacement clutches can be provided free of charge, on request of the purchaser. Witherells strives to provide as much information and photographs as possible but encourages in-person inspection by bidders.
