Hopi White Ogre Kachina, "Wiharu" by Charles Ami. Dimensions: 9"h. Provenance: Purchased on Ebay. $225. 06/12/16.Ì_
Hand carved and hand painted. Title and artist signature on underside of base. This unique Wiharu is intricately carved and very lifelike in its figuration. He stands on a rock inspired base in blue jeans and boots and holds a large saw in his right hand and a bow in his left. The Wiharu are disciplinarians who threaten to chop up misbehaving children.Ì_
