Hopi Warrior Woman Kachina, "Hé-é-e" by Deloria Adams. Dimensions (overall): 12"h. Provenance: Commission from the Artist. $100. 03/13.Ì_
Hand carved and hand painted on traditional cottonwood root. Artist signature on underside of base. Ì_H_-_-e is based on legend of a Hopi girl who was having her hair put up by her mother when she saw enemies sneaking up to the village. She ran to the village and led a defense against the enemy. Her hair is always pulled up on one side and she carries weapons to defend the Hopi against enemies.Ì_
