Just as Kachina dolls are given to Hopi children to introduce them to their culture, bows and arrows are given to the boys to introduce them to the ways of hunting. This brightly colored toy bow is hand painted and decorated with feathers and cotton string. It is an excellent replication of the ancient tradition of bow-making in Hopi culture.Ì_
