Hand carved and hand painted. Decorated with feathers, leather and small seashells. Artist signature on underside of base. The Black Ogre Kachina is a disciplinarian who appear during the Bean Dance. They are the boogy-man Kachinas who are meant to scare children into good behavior.Ì_
