Handwritten Manuscript: Eusebins of Cremona: Incipit epistoke beati Eusebij. Ad sanctum Damasum portuensam episcopum and Theodorum Romanorm senatorem. De Morte gloriosi confessoris Jheronimi. A handwritten copy of the letter of St. Eusebius of Cremona to St. Damasus, along with an epistle from St. Augustine to St. Cyril, and Cyril's reply to Augustine, and St. Augustine's writings on the dangers of of mortal love, and in praise of virginity. Bound in vellum over wood, with silver alloy clasps, circa 1400. Dimensions: 9x6x1 inches. Processing and shipping in the continental U.S. $25.00 plus 1.5% replacement cost insurance.
Claps are damaged and detached. Numerous wormholes in cover. Vellum pages have a number of discolorations, some insect damage, a few small tears. Some glosses and corrections are quite faded. There are a few minor water stains and ink stains. Witherell's strives to provide as much information and photographs as possible but encourages in-person inspection by bidders.
