- Lot Description
Group of six U.S. Army Air Corps and U.S.A.F. Medical and Firefighter wings. Three marked sterling, all full-sized.
a) Gilded Flight Surgeon's wings, sterling, pinback, reverse is stained by rust from pin, but overall VG+.
b) Flight Surgeon's wings in sterling by N.S. Meyer, pinback, pin only opens to about 80 degrees. Darkly tarnished, VG condition.
c) Flight Surgeon's wings by Vanguard, marked I-V, clutch back, lightly gilded, VG+.
d) Flight Surgeon's wings in finback by Firmin of London, very finely detailed with caduceus riveted to shield of Observer's wing. Pin is rusted, otherwise excellent.
e) Firefighter's wings in sterling by Gemsco, clutch-back, VG+.
f) Firefighter's wings by Gemsco, clutch back, VG.
