This is a very fine and original World War II German Wehrmacht officer's peaked cap, complete, and in very good condition. The badges and braid are beautifully embroidered metallic thread, with separately attached metal cockade. The lining is intact, although the sweat band is cracked with a minor tear. The plastic sweat protector in the top of the cap has the remains of the original owner's card, reading Karl Mu..., over Oberst (colonel). It is quite likely that the name could be found with minor research. The cloth is in very good shape, with no stains or moth damage. The peak is coming slightly un-stitched at both ends. All in all this cap is in remarkable condition.
