- Lot Description
This is a dagger of the Saturn Abteilung, better known as the SA, Storm Troopers, or Brown Shirts. These were Nazi party members who, in the early days of the Nazi Party, took to the streets to battle opponents and terrorize Jews and others. The dagger is a standard SA dagger and sheath, made by Gebr. Heller, with acceptance marks on the guard. The blade is etched "Alles Für Deutschland." This is an earlier manufactured dagger. Dimensions: 14 3/8 inches long. Processing and shipping within the continental U.S. $25.00 plus 1.5% replacement insurance cost.
Very good. The paint on the sheath shows minor wear and there is a small chip missing next to the eagle on the grip. The blade is slightly stained from old oil. Witherell's strives to provide as much information and photographs as possible but encourages in-person inspection by bidders.
