George W. McCrary (1835-1890) archive comprising a printed portrait, a partial printed biography and two Charles Minton Bell (1848-1893) photographs of the Old War Department Building, Washington D.C. The photographs are affixed to heavy cardboard with "C.M.Bell" lower left and "463 & 465 Penna. Ave., Washington, D.C." lower right. Dimensions: (Bell Photos) 6.75"h x 8.25"w. Provenance: Congressman and U.S. Secretary of War George Washington McCrary thence by direct family descent to the current heir. McCrary was a four term Iowa Congressman and Secretary of War under President Hayes. Processing and shipping within the continental U.S. $25.00 plus 1.5% replacement cost insurance. Please note we do not accept credit cards.
