- Lot Description
General Anthony McAuliffe scrapbook photo album from a trip taken by McAuliffe in 1950 to Belgium and France, including photos of McAuliffe with a number of French generals, one of which is autographed by the French general. Photos include a 1950 visit to U.S. Army troops near Bastogne, several official inspections and a few photos from a trip by McAuliffe to Pakistan. General Anthony McAuliffe was one of the Commanding officers at the Battle of the Bulge, Bastogne during World War II. He famously responded, "Nuts" to the German Army's offer to accept the Allies' surrender. Dimensions: 11" x 14". Provenance: Estate of General Anthony McAuliffe thence by family descent. Processing and shipping within the continental U.S. $32.00 plus 1.5% replacement cost insurance. Please note we do not accept credit cards.
