General Anthony McAuliffe, folders and groupings of personal papers, photos, clippings and more including a letter to Mrs. McAuliffe signed by the Secretary of the Navy, James Forrestal, dozens of photos of General McAuliffe and his family including Mrs. McAuliffe's wedding photo, photos of McAuliffe's as West Point Cadet, articles about their wedding and a speech by their son on the occasion of General and Mrs. McAuliffe's 50th anniversary; there are also many photos of General McAuliffe in Japan as commander of the 24th Infantry Division in 1949 including official photos of the unit receiving it's colors, possibly in Korea. General Anthony McAuliffe was one of the Commanding officers at the Battle of the Bulge, Bastogne during World War II. He famously responded, "Nuts" to the German Army's offer to accept the Allies' surrender. Provenance: Estate of General Anthony McAuliffe thence by family descent. Processing and shipping within the continental U.S. $25.00 plus 1.5% replacement cost insurance. Please note we do not accept credit cards.
