- Lot Description
10 letters and envelopes written by General Anthony McAuliffe during his time as one of the commanders of "Operation Crossroads," leading to the detonation of the first hydrogen bomb at Bikini Atoll in the South Pacific. The letters are to his wife, Helen, and their daughter, Patricia, and are written on official Operation Crossroads stationery.
Processing and shipping within the continental U.S. $ 25.00 plus 1.5% replacement and insurance. Please note we do not accept credit cards.
The letters are very good to excellent. The envelopes have seen predictable wear. Witherells strives to provide as much information and photographs as possible but encourages in-person inspection by bidders.
