- Lot Description
Framed Gaetano Chierici (Italian, 1838-1920) oil on canvas laid down to masonite painting. A genre scene with a sleeping child in front of a hearth with chicken, geese and a turkey eating from her food bowl. Signed lower right. Provenance: The estate of Douglass Wesson thence by family descent. Dimensions: 24"h x 32"w; 30.25"h x 37.75"w. Processing and shipping within the continental U.S. $175.00 plus 1.5% replacement cost insurance.
Laid down to masonite, approximately 1" vertical tear in center and minor inpainting under blacklight. Witherell's strives to provide as much information and photographs as possible but encourages in-person inspection by bidders.
