- Lot Description
Framed front page of the first edition of the Klondike News from 1898. The paper declares, "Outpost for 1898 $40,000,000," above an illustration of the prospector, George Washington Carmack, originally credited with the discovery that began the Klondike Gold Rush in 1896. Sight: 20.75"h x 13.75"w. Frame: 25.5"h x 18.5"w. Processing and shipping within the continental U.S. $50.00 plus 1.5% replacement cost insurance. Please note we do not accept credit cards.
Not examined out of frame. The paper is very lightly wrinkled and slightly stained at the top with a crease along the middle of the page. Overall the item is in fair to good condition.
