Framed pencil drawing of a four mast schooner, "The Occidental" by Fred Brown (engineer). Dimensions: (sight) 11.75"h x 17"w; (framed) 13.5"h x 19"w. According to a handwritten note on drawing verso, the schooner was built by the H.D. Bendickson Yard on Humboldt Bay. Captain Martin Brandt was the master of the Occidental from 1890-1893. The ship sailed from San Diego to Oregon along the coast. Provenance: Direct descent from Brandt family. Processing and shipping within the continental U.S. $45.00 plus 1.5% replacement cost insurance. Please note we do not accept credit cards.
