- Lot Description
A very handsome eaglehead pommeled saber, with an ornate "D" guard with 5 balls and a cross on the central ball, retaining much original gilt. The reeded bone grip is extremely nice with no cracks. The blade is dark, but retains much blue and gilt. The engraved decoration features a stand of arms with a Liberty Cap.
Processing and shipping within the continental U.S. $ 68.00 plus 1.5% replacement and insurance. Please note we do not accept credit cards.
Condition
Condition is very good, although the blade is dark. There is some light pitting along the back of the blade. The saber is 34 inches long overall. Witherells strives to provide as much information and photographs as possible but encourages in-person inspection by bidders.
