- Lot Description
19 Royal Flying Corps and early RAF wings, along with an exceptionally nice RFC chocolate bronze officer's cap badge, 2 enameled RFC sweetheart badges, and an RFC officer's peaked cap badge. The wings include 3 pair of different bullion embroidered RFC wings: one outlined in white thread, one with curved, dropping wings, and another that is more conventional, a very early pair of RAF dress wings on RAF blue wool material, and others clearly removed from uniforms. The peaked cap badge shows obvious wear and a little fading. Several of the wings show minor stains.
Processing and shipping within the continental U.S. $ 48.00 plus 1.5% replacement and insurance. Please note we do not accept credit cards.
Condition
4 of the early wings are tarnished. Several wings have minor edge irregularities where they were removed from uniforms, and minor stains from age and wear. Generally Very good to excellent. Witherells strives to provide as much information and photographs as possible but encourages in-person inspection by bidders.
