Framed Edme Bouchardon (French, 1698-1762) chalk drawing depicting a male cooper making a barrel. Monogram "E.C." lower left. Dimensions: 9.5"h x 7.12"w; (overall) 14.75"h x 12.5"w. Bouchardon was known both as a sculptor and for his drawings. He won the Prix de Rome in 1722 and drew many of the sculptures and fountains in Rome. He was a master at turning three dimensional mass into line. Processing and shipping within the continental U.S. $40.00 plus 1.5% replacement cost insurance.
