Earth God Kachina, "Masau'u" by Phillip Shelton. Dimensions (overall): 9"h. Provenance: Gifted from Rich Hacker, Flagstaff, AZ. 05/03/12.
Hand carved, hand painted in many colors. Earth God wears the traditional headdress with colored spots on his face which represent the clouds. He carries a rattle gourd and corn. Artist signature, date and title on underside of base. Phillip Shelton is the son of legendary carver, Henry Shelton.
