Darwin (Charles) The Origin of Species by Means of Natural Selection, 6th edition (twenty-eight thousand), folding lithographed table, 1885; The Descent of Man..., second edition, revised (twenty-first thousand), wood engraved illustrations, 1888, half-titles, original green cloth, slightly rubbed and marked on copies, 8vo (2). The Descent of Man bears notation on front page, "O.A. Pease / Xmas 1893". The Origin of Specis bears notation on inside of cover, "O.A.P. from M.F.P. 3/4/88" and on first page "Oswald A. Pease / from / M.F. Pease / April 5th 1888" and on second page, "(1888) $75.00". Processing and shipping within the continental U.S. $32.00 plus 1.5% replacement cost insurance. Please note we do not accept credit cards.
