- Lot Description
This is an example of Colt’s first entirely cartridge revolver, First sold in 1871, it is in .22 caliber, and is 7 shot. The frame is brass, and the barrel is steel. This one has the letter :B” carved into the grip on one side, with “Brown” carved into the other, Serial numbered 6665, the gun was made in 1874. Dimensions:The barrel is 2.25 inches, and the gun is 6 inches long overall. Processing and shipping within the continental U.S. $25.00 plus 1.5% replacement cost insurance.
The gun has a crisp, tight action, and is in very good condition. The barrel is grey. The grips have been carved with the owner’s initial and name. Witherell's strives to provide as much information and photographs as possible but encourages in-person inspection by bidders.
